Air_New_ZealandAir New Zealand will increase from two to three the number of early morning weekday flights from Taupo to Wellington, as well as introduce a third end of business day flight from Wellington, enabling business travellers to make the most of their time in the capital.

All of these early morning flights will operate via Wanganui, with a short 15 minute transit at that port. The flights via Wanganui are in addition to maintaining three non-stop return flights per weekday between Taupo and Wellington.

New start of day and end of day schedule between Taupo and Wellington from 8 November is as follows:

  Depart Taupo  Depart Wellington
Monday 0615 via Wanganui  1600 non-stop
Tuesday 0915 non-stop  1900 via Wanganui
Wednesday 0615 via Wanganui  1900 via Wanganui
Thursday 615 via Wanganui  1600 non-stop
Friday 0915 non-stop  1900 via Wanganui

Eagle Air General Manager Carrie Hurihanganui says the airline is constantly trying to meet the needs and wants of the local business community and is pleased to be able to offer an increase in the number of business-focused services, against an overall backdrop of softer than normal demand as a result of the current economic environment.
